Leen Zevenbergen to hold the Ray Anderson lecture

Zaltbommel, 19 oktober 2011 – on 11 November (Sustainability Day), Qurius CEO Leen Zevenbergen will hold together with the former Prime Minister of The Netherlands, Jan Peter Balkenende, the first Ray Aderson lecture. Balkenende will discuss the importance of pioneering in times of economic crisis. Zevenbergen will focus on the importance of creating public support for Corporate Social Responsibility among stakeholders. According to Zevenbergen, the economic crisis offers just an opportunity for sustainable entrepreneurs. “The crisis purifies and changes the market place. A wonderful time to step in with innovative ideas.”

MVO Netherlands who organises the conference, wants to turn CSR into a self-explaining issue for entrepreneurs. Willem Lageweg, director MVO Netherlands: “With these two speakers we outline the main features of what’s currently going on while we remain close to important CSR issues in real terms. We also offer entrepreneurs the opportunity to exchange experiences among each other.”

The lecture will take place on Sustainability Day, Friday 11 November, from 13:30 to 17:00 in the European headoffice of InterfaceFLOR in Scherpenzeel (The Nethelands). Those interested can subscribe here.
