Qurius starts new round of ITraineeships

Zaltbommel, November 1, 2011 - In February 2012, the new ITraineeship program of Qurius Netherlands will commence. The demands are high and so is the reward: a nice job with a great company. Anyone interested can now register.
The Qurius ITraineeship educates and trains graduates so that they can become full fletched IT professionals. The program takes one year and includes theory, skills and practical experience. In order to gain a variety of experience, the trainees work in different departments. This allows them not only to develop themselves broadly, but also to create an equally large picture of the IT practice. Next they can choose in which direction they wish to develop further. The current class started in October and includes three trainees. One of the candidates had gained so much knowledge and experience from her studies that she could directly start as a junior product manager at Qurius.
Procedure
Study results are important, but eagerness, enthusiasm, creativity, dedication, perseverance and above all curiosity (we don’t call ourselves Qurius for nothing) are equally important. Therefore, anyone who registers for the traineeship gets invited to a series of interviews. In this first round, the candidates go through six speed dates with just as many Qurius managers. Each manager focuses on a particular area during these brief conversations so that together, a reasonably complete and clear picture emerges of the candidate trainee. And vice versa: candidates get a reasonably complete and clear picture of the organization. Immediately after the speed dates, the managers evaluate their findings and the candidates who may enter the next round get informed. This next round consists of interviews with the management of Qurius Netherlands and takes place one week later. Candidates in the second and final round of talks who are selected for a trainee position in the trainee class, can directly take their contract home – they only need to sign the contract and then they are employed by Qurius. In total, the candidates have around ten interviews with Qurius thus ensuring a thorough and careful approach. Still, the whole procedure, from the first interview to the result, only takes up to one week to complete. This is not only typical to the Qurius approach, it is also what appeals to the candidates and why they feel at home at Qurius.
