Code of Conduct: Being Qurius
PEOPLE LIKE TO WORK FOR QURIUS BECAUSE THEY FEEL AT HOME HERE. The same goes for customers, suppliers and other stakeholders: they choose Qurius because they recognise its vision and appreciate the way Qurius works.
At Qurius, we, the Qurius people, share a number of values and habits, which form, together with our knowledge, experience and technical capabilities, QURIUS' UNIQUE STRENGHT.
Being valuable
Our values determine our behaviour and repeated behaviour reveals our core values. To learn the Qurius values, we should look at our day-to-day practices and try to identify established patterns. This reveals a large number of visions, virtues and values. Let’s try to boil these down to three:

CUSTOMERS ALWAYS COME FIRST. Our first priority is to satisfy the needs of our customers. We take our customers’ complaints so seriously, that we have adopted a strict procedure that everybody has to adhere to.
Qurius speaks the language of its customers, mainly midsized organisations with operations in one or more European countries. Just like Qurius.
We share a pragmatic and can-do mentality with our customers. We enjoy being up and doing and never avoid challenges.
A typical Qurius customer is an entrepreneur, not a manager. He is decisive and energetic. Qurius customers take the time they need, but never more. They have no budgets, but money they can spend only once.
We recognise ourselves in our customers. A typical Qurius staff member is aligned with his customer and understands him better than anyone else. Like our customers, we work fast, are decisive and deal with budgets as if it’s our own money. We say what we do and do what we say. And when we say something, it’s a promise. If we can’t live up to our promise, we’ll inform our customer in time.
This is our customer base. Only a few companies in Europe with the full range of ICT solutions can work the way we do. Qurius combines a perfect customer match with a one-stop shop.
WE RESPECT our customers, colleagues, shareholders, partners, all other stakeholders and everybody around us.
We show our respect in many ways, in the way we make personal contact, for instance. We talk and discuss important matters face to face, avoiding impersonal ways of communication. We’re genuinely interested and demonstrate this.
Not only do we respect people, but also our natural environment and its resources, thus being considerate of future generations. Operating sustainably is a manifestation of respect. Sustainability in everything we do is our goal. Qurius aims at being a 100% sustainable company by the end of 2014. We are proud of this and contribute whatever, wherever we can.
WE ARE CURIOUS AND THEREFORE WE ASK QUESTIONS AND LISTEN WELL. We are actively trying to find answers and solutions.
Being curious also implies having an open mind without excluding options beforehand. We listen and are open for new ways of doing things and for new ideas. Before formulating an opinion, we have discussed different views and given feedback. This is how we start a dialogue – with colleagues, customers, partners and suppliers, in an open, sincere and reliable way.
Being Qurius, we like curious people. We are accessible to others and treat each other like equals – internally, externally, always.
Being competent
It is important to each individual connected to Qurius that Qurius is competent. Whether you are a customer, shareholder, sub-contractor, partner or a staff member: you want Qurius to be best in class.
An organisation, is only as good as its people. It’s up to the Qurius people to continuously learn and develop. It’s the responsibility of the Qurius organisation to facilitate this through training, coaching and offering diversity jobs.
Being honest
At Qurius, we take Corporate Social Responsibility most seriously. We aim at our company being firmly rooted in societies where we operate. Everyone being paid by Qurius or works with Qurius is to comply fully with the international, national and local laws and regulations as well as with the internal rules, including our Corporate Governance.
Qurius’ Global Corporate Citizenship means that we adhere to standards that overarch national legislation. Everyone who is paid by Qurius or works for Qurius is to act in accordance with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Convention against Corruption.
Any breach of confidence is to be immediately reported to Qurius’ (top) management. To make sure that none of us will suffer from negative consequences, Qurius has adopted a Whistle-blower Procedure.
